5 Reasons 30 Day Challenges Actually Work for Realtors
Dec 14, 2021
It’s not unusual to see a slew of 30 Day Challenges pop up once Janary hits. There are fitness challenges, finance challenges, and more fitness challenges — but rarely anything to help you dive into your most important venture: your real estate business.
If you’ve finally landed on a 30 Day Challenge made by and for Realtors, and are considering joining, this article is for you. Below we’ve outlined five reasons why 30 day challenges do in fact work, and how to make the most of it once you commit.
30 days is enough time to create habits that last.
Real talk: New Year’s resolutions rarely work.
We make a vague resolution, often with no plan on how to actually execute it, and give it up by week two.
With a 30 day challenge, you’re giving yourself the gift of time and repetition. When you spend 30 days consistently executing on the actions that will change the outcomes for your business, you will create realistic habits that last.
Plus, you’ll create momentum! As you start to see results and get accustomed to your new habits, you’ll have no choice but to keep going when February hits.
Accountability is the key to success.
Accountability is the most important element to achieving what we set out to do. But when you run your own business and work for yourself, accountability can be extremely hard to come by. Luckily, it’s built into a 30 day challenge and handed over on a silver platter.
Not only do you have set challenges to complete and submit every week, but you have an entire group of people showing up alongside you. Public accountability is one of the most powerful tools out there, and a 30 day challenge is a great way to take advantage of it.
There is power in numbers.
Accountability isn’t the only perk of working in a group. Imagine how much there is to learn from your fellow Realtors? Not only will you be testing, implementing, and optimizing your business, but you will be hearing from Realtors going through the same process. You can learn from their mistakes and successes — and them from you. Not to mention, the opportunity to network is always beneficial!
Small successes make big changes.
For some odd reason, it’s often the “little things” in our business that are the hardest to accomplish. We might skip our phone calls to our sphere to focus on something bigger — but in the long run, that only hurts you.
With a 30 day challenge, you focus on re-implementing the small actions that set your business up for success. These are the essentials of your business and add up BIG when you start being consistent.
Start checking off those small tasks every day or every week, and the big results will come.
It’s the daily motivation you need.
When you run your own business, motivation can be hard to come by. No one wakes up every day raring to head to their office and dive in. A 30 day challenge is exactly what you need to start the year off motivated as hell.
Not only do you have a coach to motivate you in weekly calls, but you have challenges to complete and goals to accomplish.
If you haven’t felt motivated lately, give yourself a break. It’s been an extremely hard (almost) two years for everyone. Whatever you’ve gone through or have struggled with, it’s understandable that your business hasn’t always taken the front seat. But if you want that to change in 2022...if you’re committed to that changing in 2022...start the year by setting yourself up for success. Don’t make empty promises you can’t keep. Sign up for a 30 day challenge and prioritize yourself from January first onward.
